The Dodge Physical Fitness Center and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and Physical Education will be open Wednesday, Oct. 31. The University has also announced the resumption of classes Oct. 31.
The Columbia men' soccer game against Adelphi, scheduled for Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. at the Baker Athletics Complex, has been canceled.
In advance of Hurricane Sandy, the University is canceling classes and events at all campuses for Monday and Tuesday, October 29-30.
The Marcellus Hartley Dodge Physical Fitness Center will be CLOSED at 5 p.m. Sunday to ALL patrons, including staff.
Dodge Fitness Center will also be CLOSED MONDAY, October 29 and TUESDAY, October 30.
All Columbia Athletics PRACTICES and COMPETITIONS are CANCELLED for Monday, October 29.
We urge members of the Columbia community to stay informed about conditions, exercise caution if travel is necessary, and to remain indoors if possible in light of predicted high winds and heavy rains.
Governor Cuomo and Mayor Bloomberg have announced that the New York City Metropolitan Transit Authority will shut down mass transit citywide beginning at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 28. Public schools are also closed on Tuesday.
Students should check their individual school websites for other important updates and cancellations.
Non-essential personnel are not required to report to work on Monday.
