Christie Switek joined the Columbia athletic training staff in the summer of 2011. She currently serves as an assistant athletic trainer and works primarily with the men's soccer, men's swimming and softball teams.
Switek previously worked as an assistant athletic trainer at Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, N.J. from 2008-11. While there, she worked with the Ducks' nationally-ranked men's soccer program, as well as the wrestling and women's lacrosse teams.
A 2006 graduate of Rutgers University, Switek worked at her alma mater as an athletic training graduate student. She worked with the men's soccer, men's lacrosse and track & field teams in 2008. Switek also made stops at Fairleigh Dickinson University-Florham Park and at Westfield High School in New Jersey.
In addition to her bachelor's degree in exercise science and sports studies from Rutgers, Switek earned her master of science degree in athletic training from Seton Hall University.
