Archery Co-Hosts First Ivy Invitational

Bloomfield, N.J. –On Saturday, April26, the Columbia archery team co- hosted the inaugural 2014 Ivy Invitational with Princeton. The Lions welcomed a combined nine schools and programs to Brookdale Park Archery Field for a solid day of competition in both male and female divisions.

With the USCA Outdoor USIAC about a month away, Columbia continued its dominance this season in both the compound and the recurve over the weekend. Julie Hoffman posted a leading score of 641 in the compound, followed by Mary Quien (2nd – 623 points), Marilyn He (3rd – 619 points) and Victoria Lai (4th – 585 points).

The Lions swept the top five spots in the recurve as Alyssa Pocesion tallied a first-place total of 574 points. Tiffany Kim finished runner-up at 572, followed by Joy Chang (3rd-539 points), Grace Kim (4th-537 points) and Sarah Bernstein (5th-484).

Columbia will be back in action on the national stage at the USCA Outdoor USIAC in Long Beach, Calif. on Wednesday, May 14 – Sunday, May 18.
