Columbia Travels to New Haven for Ivy League Fencing Championships This Weekend
NEW YORK - The Columbia men and women will travel to New Haven, Conn. for the 2012 Ivy League Championships this weekend, hosted by Yale. Columbia has won 41 Ivy League championships during its rich history.
Part I begins on Saturday, February 11 at 11 a.m. with a matchup against Brown. The Columbia women will face Cornell at 12:30 p.m. and the men and women will take on Penn at 2:45 p.m. On Sunday, Part II will pit the Lions against Harvard at 10 a.m., Princeton at 11:30 a.m. and Yale at 1:45 p.m.
LAST TIME OUT
Columbia is returning from a pair of 3-0 victories against NYU, Sacred Heart and Vassar on Wednesday, February 8 in the Historical Meet Plus. The Lion men defeated NYU and Vassar 20-7 and knocked off Sacred Heart 19-8.
Columbia's women won in even more emphatic fashion, defeating Vassar 24-3, Sacred Heart 26-1 and NYU 25-2.
