NEW YORK – The Columbia field hockey team will wrap up its four-game home stand on Wednesday, October 3, when they host Rider at the Columbia Field Hockey Venue at 7:00 p.m.

The Lions will look to bounce back after suffering their first Ivy League loss of the season to Princeton on Friday. Despite the defeat, Columbia has won six of their last seven contests.

Goalkeeper Christie O’Hara made 14 stops against the Tigers and sits second on the Lions’ career-list with 354 career saves. Gabby Kozlowski and Liz Malone continue to rank among the league leaders in scoring, ranking third and fourth, respectively in points.

After beginning the season 6-1, the Broncs have dropped two of their last three decisions. Sandra Penas leads the team with nine goals and three assists for 21 points. Alicia Carthan and Joelle Prettyman have split the duties in net.

This will be the sixth all-time meeting between the teams and first since the 2004 season. Rider holds a slim 3-2 edge in the series.

Live stats will be available for the game. Admission is free at the Baker Athletics Complex for Columbia field hockey.
