Kozlowski is just the second player in program history to be selected to play in the senior game, joining Megan Davidson, who earned the honor in 2008. Kozlowski was recently tabbed for first team All-Mideast Region by the NFHCA in addition to earning first team All-Ivy League honors for the third straight year.
Nichols has been playing at the international level for the past five years and is a two-time Olympian. In 2011, she earned a gold medal at the Pan American Games when the U.S. defeated top-ranked Argentina in the Championship game. Nichols was also named to the USA World Cup Training Squad in 2006 and was a member of the Netherlands Tour team in 2007.
"It was great being down in Norfolk to support Gabby during the NFHCA senior game," said Freeman. "To have one of our own selected from all the seniors in the NCAA is pretty special and we were happy to be there to support her and Columbia for the game. The seniors played against the USA national hockey team where Caroline was playing, so to see them play against each other was great. Each of them scored throughout the night so it was solid representation from Columbia!"
