Heavyweight Rowing Takes on Navy on Sunday in the Stevenson Cup Regatta
NEW YORK - The Columbia heavyweight crew is back on the water on Sunday, April 29 when Columbia will row Navy in the Maxwell Stevenson Cup regatta on Lake Carnegie in Princeton, N.J. The first race begins at 10:40 a.m.
The Columbia lightweights will race in the regatta as a guest. The first varsity will row against Navy's second varsity. The lightweight freshman eight will take on Navy's second freshman eight on Sunday.
Last week, Columbia's varsity heavyweights placed third behind Syracuse and Boston University in the race for the Doc Lusins Trophy in the Conlan Cup regatta. The freshman eights rowed a tight battle with Syracuse, coming up a half second short of second place in their race.
