NEW YORK – Columbia heavyweight rowing has announced the addition of nine incoming first-years, comprising the class of 2017.

Joining the Lions will be Killian Brackey (Edina, Minn.), Alastair Clements (Lyme, Conn.), Connor Coughlin (New Rochelle, N.Y.), Oliver Jennings (Sarasota, Fla.), Colin Keane (Redwood City, Calif.), Gregory Klumpp (Rochester, N.Y.), Tucker Klutley (Ridgefield, Conn.), Matthew Panton (Shoreham, Australia) and John Sluis (Ridgewood, N.J.).

Killian Brackey
Attended St. Thomas Academy in Mendota Heights, Minn.

Alastair Clements
Part of the Southeast Connecticut Rowing Club and competed at the 2012 World Junior Trials… Attended Choate Rosemary Academy with incoming men’s basketball first-year Kendall Jackson.

Connor Coughlin
Five-time letterwinner at Fordham Prep, who finished third in the varsity eight race at the New York State Championships in 2013… Also earned the school’s Patrick Kennelly Scholar-Athlete Award.

Oliver Jennings
Attended Pine View School in Florida… Coxed a lightweight crew to a fifth place finish at the 2013 U.S. Youth National Championships.

Colin Keane
Selected to participate in 2012 High Performance Camp in 2012… Attended Sacred Heart Prep.

Gregory Klumpp
Oared at the 2012 Youth National Championships… Named a 2013 NYSSRA Scholar-Athlete at McQuad Jesuit High School.

Tucker Klutley
Attended Ridgefield High School in Connecticut.

Matthew Panton
Product of Melbourne Grammar School in Australia.

John Suis
Won 2013 Stotesbury Cup Regatta with Ridgewood High School’s varsity eight.
