NEW YORK – The Columbia heavyweights will contend for the Childs Cup in the 101st running of the historic race with Penn and Princeton.  With two cup victories in hand already (Governor's Cup, Collins Cup), Columbia will look to make it three straight on Saturday, April 9 with the first race beginning at 9:50 a.m.

Columbia's last scheduled race, on Saturday, April 2 against Harvard and Cornell, was postponed due to inclement weather last weekend in the Northeast so the heavyweights will have had two weeks in between races to train prior to the Childs Cup Regatta.

Columbia is looking for a measure of revenge against Princeton, which reclaimed the Childs Cup from the Lions last year.  In 2009, Columbia bested Princeton and Penn to win the Childs Cup for the first time in 46 years.

This year's Childs Cup will take place on Penn's home waters on the Schuylkill River. Saturday's schedule follows:

9:50 a.m.   Third Varsity Eights
10:10 a.m.  Freshman Eights
10:30 a.m. Second Varsity Eights
10:50 a.m.    First Varsity Eights
