Race for the Doc Lusins Trophy Moved up to Friday Afternoon in Upstate New York

NEW YORK – Due to impending high winds on Saturday, Columbia heavyweight rowing's annual race for the Doc Lusins Trophy has been moved to Friday, April 22 at 4 p.m. on Onondaga Lake in upstate New York.  The race was originally slated for Saturday, April 23 at 8 a.m.

While Columbia and Boston University will compete for the Doc Lusins Trophy, the Conlan Cup will also be decided between Syracuse and B.U.

Syracuse Alumni Rowing Association (SARA) will be providing live audio coverage of Saturday’s action via telephone.  Fans can dial 712-432-1496, Ext. 6029 to hear the play-by-play of Friday's action. SARA’s announcers will be following the races in the chase launches, providing a stroke by stroke account of the races – from the start until the finish.
