NEW YORK - After two weeks of post-Sprints training, Columbia will compete for the 2013 Men's Lightweight Eight National Championship at the IRA Regatta on Sunday, June 2. The first heat is slated to begin at 11 a.m EDT.
Eight crews will vie for the national title: Columbia, Cornell, Georgetown, Yale, Princeton, Penn and Harvard. The Lions are coming off a fourth place finish in the grand final of the Eastern Sprints to claim its third straight IRA appearance. Columbia will also feature a boat in the Varsity Fours race, slated for an 11:30 a.m. (EDT) opening round heat.
