NEW YORK – The No. 2 Columbia lightweight rowing program turns its focus on the EARC Sprints this Sunday on Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester, Massachusetts as they look to continue yet another strong season.

Racing begins at 8 a.m. in the preliminary heats and the finales will commence at approximately 1:20 p.m. Follow all the action by clicking the links above.

Columbia’s varsity eight, ranked just behind Cornell, has had a phenomenal campaign, posting a 9-2 mark with its only defeats coming to Yale and the Big Red, both ranked No. 1 at the time of the head-to-head matchups.

The second and third varsity eights have also been selected as the No. 2 seed, trailing Princeton’s second and third eights.

Last season, Columbia put forth a solid effort, qualifying for the grand finals in all three races which was highlighted by a fourth place finish by the varsity eights. The result was strong enough to secure the final spot at the IRA National Championships, where the Lions went on to claim the bronze medal.
