NEW YORK – Columbia women’s rowing head coach Scott Ramsey has comprised nine incoming first-years to build upon the success of last season’s squad.

The list of newcomers includes Emily Ball, Giovanna Crozier-Fitzgerald, Lilli DeBode, Maggie DeVlieger, Kaitlyn Loftus, Elena McGahey, Maddie Pollock, Lynsey Robertson and Emerald Smith.

Emily Ball – Framingham, Mass. – Phillips Exeter Academy

High School/Personal: Stroked to first place in the Peabody Cup for Junior 8's at Women's Henley Regatta as a junior ... Finished first at the NEIRA girls 8's during her senior campaign ... Also competed in swimming.

Giovanna Crozier-Fitzgerald – Gwynedd, Pa. – Merion Mercy Academy

High School/Personal: Named captain as a senior ... Finished first at the Navy Day Regatta V8 during her junior year ... Finished second in the City Championship V8 during her senior year.

Lilli DeBode – Summit, N.J. – Kent Place School

High School/Personal: Competed in cross country, track and field and rowing ... Earned eight varsity letters.

Maggie DeVlieger – Newtown Square, Pa. – Merion Mercy Academy

High School/Personal: Won the Merion Mercy Academy Varsity Rowing Award during her senior year ... Member of the National Honors Society.

Kaitlyn Loftus – Ambler, Pa. – Mount St. Joseph Academy
