Women's Rowing Set for Two Days of Racing at Clemson Invitational

NEW YORK – The Columbia women’s rowing team has a busy slate on tap this weekend, taking part in nine races against 14 other programs over two days at the Clemson Invitational on Lake Hartwell in South Carolina.
The Lions will look to build upon their Woodbury Cup triumph last weekend. Columbia got off to a strong start, but Northeastern made up some ground in the middle portion of the race. However, the Lions pulled away late to come away with a seven-second victory to even the Cup series at 5-5.
This weekend’s regatta will be the last tune-up for Columbia before beginning championship season at the EARWC Sprints on May 4.
