NEW YORK – Columbia's women's rowing made the top 20 of the CRCA/USRowing Coaches Poll for the first time this season, entering the poll at number 19 in the nation.
Columbia received 43 total votes, one more than Notre Dame, which was ranked 20th in the country for the second consecutive week.
The Lions defeated Tennessee in a four-team regatta last Saturday, April 30 in Princeton, N.J. Tennessee was previously ranked 19th in the country in last week's poll. The Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Poll is sponsored by Pocock Racing Shells.
Columbia will be back in action on Sunday, May 15 at the EAWRC Sprints along the Cooper River in Cherry Hill, N.J.
