NEW YORK - The 2011-12 Columbia women's rowing schedule will begin this Sunday, October 23 at the annual Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston. It will be the Lions' first competition under head coach Scott Ramsey.
A week later, Columbia will race at the Princeton Chase on October 30, its final race of the brief fall season.
Columbia will begin the spring racing season in Florida, competing for the Governor's Cup with Florida Tech in Fellesmere, Fla. on March 17.
The Lions will then host Yale and Penn for the Connell Cup a week later on March 24 at Orchard Beach in Pelham, N.Y. The Woodbury Cup will be contested against Northeastern, with Dartmouth as a guest, on March 31 in Boston.
On April 21, Columbia will race against Cornell and Brown in the annual Dunn Bowl. The EAWRC Sprints, the equivalent of the Ivy League Championships, will take place on May 12 and the NCAA Championships are scheduled for May 26.
