NEW YORK - Juniors Nikki Bourassa and Samantha Warren were named to the Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association (CRCA) Division I All Mid-Atlantic Region first team, it was announced on Tuesday.

It marks the third consecutive all-region award for Bourassa over her three years at Columbia. It is also the first time Bourassa has been selected to the first team. A mainstay in the varsity eight boat throughout her collegiate career, Bourassa won the Under-23 Collegiate Lightweight title at the CRASH-B World Indoor Rowing Championships in February.

Warren earned first team all-region honors for the second time in her career after being selected to the first team in 2010. Another stalwart in Columbia's first varsity during her first three years, Warren was chosen to compete at USRowing's Women's Under-23 National Team Camp this summer.

Nominated student-athletes are evaluated on the strength of their team's regional finish, coaches recommendations and 2,000-meter erg score. Nominees must be eligible student-athletes who have competed in their teams' varsity boat in 75 percent of races this season.

Bourassa and Warren will be eligible for All-America awards selection following the NCAA Rowing Championships.
