NEW YORK - The 2-2 Columbia men's swimming and diving team will look for their second straight win on Saturday, Jan. 5 when they face Bucknell at 12 p.m. in Uris Pool. The meet will start with the diving events at noon, followed by the swimming events at 2p.m The Lions have never lost to the Bison and currently maintain an unblemished 8-0 series record, dating back to the 2004-05 season.

Last Time Out

On Sunday, Dec. 2, Columbia capped the three-day inaugural Brown Invitational with a total of 450.5 team points to finish fifth overall. The Lions last dual meet was a 183-117 win at Army on Saturday, Nov. 17. Columbia won 12 of 16 events and sophomores David Jakl, Kevin Quinn and junior Philipp Gaissert each posted a pair of individual wins to lead the team to a 2-2 overall season record.

Scouting the Bison

Bucknell will enter Uris pool with a 4-2 overall record on Saturday. The team's last meet was 171-128 win over Binghamton, giving them their first-ever dual victory over the Bearcats. In the Bison's last meeting with the Lions last season, Columbia won 129.5-111.5 highlighted by strong showings from the first-year swimmers with a team total of six winning finishes.
