Women's Swimming and Diving Faces Cornell For Homecoming Meet

NEW YORK - The Columbia women's swimming and diving team will look to build on its latest win over the Wagner Seahawks, playing host to the Big Red of Cornell. The Lions will look to continue its win streak against Cornell on Homecoming Saturday, Jan. 21 in Uris Pool at 11 a.m. The teams' last meeting in Ithaca, N.Y. last season resulted in a 168-132 victory for the Lions.

LAST TIME OUT

Columbia defeated the Northeast Conference leading Wagner Seahawks 169-88 in the team's last outing. The Lions won 12 of 15 events to take the meet, improving their overall record to 3-1 on the season.

The Lions will be looking to pick up its third Ivy League win versus the Big Red with a current standing of 2-1. Columbia is one win from moving into third place in the league beating out the current leader Yale.

SCOUTING THE BIG RED

The Big Red will be looking for their second straight win of the season and first Ivy League win against Columbia. Cornell found their first win of the season in the teams' latest meet, defeating Colgate 175-125.

The Lions hit the road for a double dual tri-meet facing Brown and Boston University on Saturday, Jan. 28 at 4:30p.m. in Boston, Mass.
