Final Results

NEW YORK - The Columbia women's swimming and diving team finishes the weekend with two back to back wins. Following the programs first ever win over Ivy League foe Princeton on Friday, Feb. 10, Columbia returned home to defeat Dartmouth 183-117 on Saturday, Feb. 11. The Lions won their sixth consecutive meet and finish the regular season at 8-1 overall and 6-1 in the Ivy League. With the win over Dartmouth, Columbia is second in the Ivy League in the dual meet title for the first time in program history.

The squad of Senior Dorothy Baker, Junior Katie Meili, Junior Kristina Parsons, and Senior Caitlin Rogers posted the first win of the day for Columbia in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:47.56. The Lions also placed second in the event behind the squad of first-years Lexi Riggs, Mikaila Gaffey, Olivia Evans, and Stella Zhao finishing at 1:47.56.

Senior Isabelle Vandenbroucke took first in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 10:19.53 in the next event of meet. Katie Meili added a win in the 200 yard freestyle hitting the wall at 1:49.49. Junior Lacey Harris-Coble followed with a win in the 100 yard backstroke with a time of 58.19 and Mikaila Gaffey took the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:06.21.

Gaffey earned her second of three wins on the day in the 50 yard freestyle hitting the wall at 23.85. First-year Salena Huang placed second in the event with the time of 24.06. Gaffey's third win came in the 200 yard breaststroke finishing with a time of 2:22.60. Haung went on to take first place in the 100 freestyle with the winning time 0f 51.94.

First-year Chacha Bugatti picked up another win for Columbia in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 4:55.38. Captain Caitlin Rogers won her final 100 yard butterfly event at Uris Pool for the Lions touching the wall 56.77. Stella Zhao flowed with a win in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:09.10.

Columbia honored their seniors Casey Bresee, Stephanie Foster, Isabelle Vandenbroucke, Caitlin Rogers, Erin Kampschmidt, and Dorothy Baker who swam their final meet in Uris Pool. The seniors go out with a bang winning the meet, having never lost to the Big Green in their careers.
