PROVIDENE, R.I. - On Saturday, Feb. 22, the Columbia women's swimming and diving capped the final day of the 2014 Ivy League Women's Swimming and Diving Championships with a fourth place finish with 945 points. The Lions finished with a pair of individual Ivy League crowns and achieved a number of personal best times throughout the team.

Columbia posted several personal best records in the final five events of the meet, highlighted by a solid showing in the 200 breast. The Lions place three swimmers in the championship heat, including Kristine Ng who clocked in with a personal –best time of 2:16.63 for fourth place overall, Celia Frick who finished seventh (2:18.53) and Alena Kluge in eighth (2:18.82).

Salena Huang added another championship finals appearance with a eight-place finish in the 200 back with a time of 2:02.22. Trudi Patrick hit the wall first in the ‘B’ finals of the 200 fly with a personal-best time of 1:58.25 for ninth overall and Christina Ray place 12th overall with a personal-best time of 50.91 in the 100 free.

The Lions will wrap the season next weekend at the ECAC Championships in Annapolis, Md. fro Friday, Feb. 28 and Sunday, March 2.
