NEW YORK – The Columbia women’s swimming & diving team is set to finish up the 2010-11 dual meet season, as the Lions travel to Dartmouth for the last dual meet of the year, Saturday, February 12 at 11 a.m. The Lions currently stand at 5-3 overall, and 2-3 in the Ivy League.

Scouting the Big Green
Dartmouth is 9-5 overall and an identical 2-3 in the Ivy League. Dartmouth, like the Lions, has Ivy wins over Brown and Cornell. The Big Green are coming off of dual meet wins over Northeastern and Rhode Island last weekend, hoping to continue that streak against Columbia.

Last year, the Lions beat the Big Green in Uris Pool, 176-119, and 205-95 in Dartmouth in 2009.

Last Time Out
The Lions are coming off a 196-104 loss to Princeton that saw several strong swims from the Lions. Though the Tigers dominated the top spots in the dual meet, Columbia swimmers had several personal bests on the day.

Up Next
Columbia will start to taper and prepare for the championship season, as both ECACs and the 2011 Ivy League Championships happen in late February. Some of the squad will head to ECACs, Friday, February 25 to Sunday, February 27, while the rest of the team will take on the Ancient Eight at Ivies in Princeton, Thursday, February 24 to Saturday, February 26.
