The Columbia women's swimming and diving team picks up two wins on the road in Boston, Mass. The Lions defeated Boston University 184-115 and Brown 182-118 in a double dual tri-meet. With the teams fourth consecutive win, Columbia improves to 6-1 overall on the season and 3-1 in the Ivy League.

First-year Salena Huang won the first event of the day for the Lions finishing with a time of 1:51.12 in the 200 yard freestyle. Huang added another win in the 400 yard freestyle relay with the team of Senior Dorothy Baker, Junior Katie Meili, and Sophomore Laney Kluge with a time of 3:30.19.

Baker went on to capture a victory in the 100 yard backstroke for Columbia with a time of 58.12. Meili would follow with a win in the 100 yard breaststroke finishing with a time of 1:04.16. Kluge added points for the Lions with a first place finish in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.18. Grace Senko finished with a time of2:04.64 to place second in the event.

Columbia continued its strong showing the 500 yard freestyle with first and second place finishes. First-year Chacha Bugatti won the event with a time of 4:49.92 and Senior Isabelle Vandenbroucke followed in second with a time of 5:00.45.

The Lions best event of the day would come in the 100 yard butterfly, taking the top 3 spots. Junior Kristina Parsons would place first with a time of 55.96. Junior Caroline Lukins finished in second place with a time of 57.11 and Junior Lacey Harris-Coble took third with a time of 57.51.

First-year Alyssa Menz added points for the Lions with a second place finish in the 1mtr diving event tallying 243.80 points. Sophomore Kathleen Furr would follow with a second place finish in the 3mtr diving event with 254.30 points.

Columbia will be back in action on Friday, Feb. 10 on the road facing Ivy League foe Princeton.
