NEW YORK – Fresh off a standout jumps performance in the Ivy League Championships, Nadia Eke will represent Columbia on the national stage at the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships this weekend in Albuquerque, N.M. at the Albuquerque Convention Center from Friday, March 14 – Saturday, March 15.

Eke will compete in the triple jump against 16 of the best performers in the country this season.  The Ghana native, stamped her qualifying mark for the national championships in an impressive performance in the Ivy League Championships a couple weeks ago. With a leap of 13.09m, Eke captured the conference title and set a new program record in the victory, becoming the first Lion to surpass the 13-meter mark. The junior’s measure was also 11th-best in the nation this year.

From the men’s side, John Gregorek will line-up in the one-mile run at the NCAA Championships. Gregorek has led the Lions’ performances in the event this season, including competing in the NYRR Wanamaker Mile and a runner-up finish in the Ivy League Championships. The senior broke four minutes for the first time in Hanover, N.H. at Heps with a converted time of 3:58.95 en route to a second team All-Ivy League honor.

Behind a school record performance this season, the Lions will also earned a spot in the men’s distance medley relay. At the Notre Dame Ale Wilson Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 22, the quartet of Gregorek, Harrison McFann, Brendon Fish and Daniel Everett crushed the school record in the DMR with a combined time of 9:30.72. The squad posted the ninth fastest time in the nation at the time and stands 10th best heading into competition this weekend.

ESPN3 will stream the meet live on March 14 starting at 7:55 p.m. ET and March 15 starting at 7:50 p.m. ET. A tape delay of the championship will air Saturday, March 22 starting at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPNU.
