Nadia Eke Sets New School Record In Triple Jump At Sam Howell Invitational


PRINCETON, N.J. – First-year standout Nadia Eke set a new school record in the triple jump and many of her Columbia track & field teammates had strong performances on Saturday to conclude Princeton’s 12th annual Sam Howell Memorial Invitational.

Eke cleared a distance of 12.81m (42’0.5”) on her second jump to take first place in the event and set the new Columbia record, formerly held by Elisse Douglas (12.65m in 2009). That mark currently stands as the 15th-best in the nation.

Caroline Williams (9:56.39) and Erin Gillingham (9:57.29) finished first and second, respectively in the 3,000m run.
