AUBURN, Ala. – Columbia’s sprinters and jumpers enjoyed some standout performances this weekend down at the War Eagle Invitational at Hutsell-Rosen Track in Auburn, Ala.

On the women’s side, senior Monique Roberts had the best day, taking first in the high jump by clearing 1.70m. First-year Nadia Eke posted strong showings in both the triple jump (12.52m, third place) and the long jump (5.81m, sixth place). Junior Uju Ofoche took fifth place in the long jump with a leap of 5.96m.

The Columbia men’s sprinters were impressive in the trip south. In the 800m, junior Liam Tansey took third place with a time of 1:50.49. First-year Connor Claflin was right on his heels, taking fourth in 1:50.56.
