Walnut, Calif. - To begin a very busy weekend for the Columbia track & field team, a pair of Lion runners have set a strong tone for the upcoming days with solid performances on opening day of the 56th Annual Mt. SAC Relays on Thursday, April 17.
Seasoned disctance runners Jacob Sienko and Nicolas Composto both competed in the men's 10,000m Olympic Elite run. In a field of 34 athletes, Sienko was impressive leading the way with a fourth-place finish. The junior clocked in with a time of 29:38.94 to set a new personal-best record. Composto followed with a 10th-place finish at 29:56.54 to round out the top-10 for Columbia.
