NEW YORK - Columbia's impressive run in the 2012 CSA National Team Championships resulted in a second place finish in the Hoehn Cup (B Division) as Columbia fell to Penn 8-1 on Sunday, February 19. First-year Ramit Tandon earned the sole victory with a 3-0 win at the number one position in Princeton, N.J. today.

Columbia entered the tournament at 5-10 with a 14th overall ranking in the National CSA Dunlop College polls.  Behind a 5-4 upset win over Navy in the first match on Friday and a 5-4 victory in the semi-finals over Williams on Saturday, Columbia has secured a top ten finish on the year, improving to 7-11 to cap the season.

In only their second year as a varsity program, the Columbia men's squash team put together a strong season and continued to earn national respect. Led by Columbia Alumni and Friends Head Coach Jacques Swanepoel, the Lions are making monumental strides. From getting the program's first Ivy League over Brown, to a runner-up finish in the Hoehn Cup in the CSA National Championships, Columbia continues to lay a solid foundation for a strong squash program.
