Men's Squash Loses to Navy, 7-2

The Columbia men's squash team fell to 15th ranked Navy in the first match of the 2012 calendar year 7-2. The Midshipmen handed the Lions its third road loss on the season dropping Columbia to an overall record of 1-3.

The Lions were led by first-year Ramit Tandon, who continues to have a strong year. Tandon defeated the no.1 for Navy in straight sets, keeping him unbeaten at 4-0 on the season. Junior Tony Zou pulled out a win in five sets at no. 2 to also remain unbeaten at 4-0.

The Lions will look to bounce back with a three match road weekend. On Saturday, Jan. 14 at 2:30 p.m. they travel to Providence, R.I. to face Brown. Columbia will head to New Haven, Conn. for a double-header facing Bowdoin at 9 a.m. and conference foe Yale at 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15.
