Men's Squash Hosts George Washington In Home Opener
NEW YORK – On Saturday, Nov. 23, the No. 12 Columbia men's squash team will jump into its fourth season of competition with a 5 p.m. home match against No. 19 George Washington. All Columbia home matches will be held at the SL Green StreetSquash Center in Harlem on 115th Street between 5th Ave. and Lenox.

ABOUT THE LIONS
The Lions will look to improve on a 2012-13 campaign that capped with a fourth-place finish in the Hoehn Cup (B Division). En route to an 8-10 record, Columbia reached a season best No. 9 national ranking.
This year’s seasoned team is primed to stand among the top eight in country. With 12 returning student-athletes and a talented group of newcomers, the Lions are geared to have a strong season.
Captains Andrew Tan, Alec Goldberg and Ramit Tandon will be looked and counted upon as the leaders of this squad. Tandon garnered his second consecutive first team All-America honor last year. The two-time first team All-Ivy League selection finished in the top eight at the 2013 CSA Individual National Championships to represent the Lions.

SCOUTING GEORGE WASHINGTON
The Colonials have jumped to a fast 3-0 start this season. In their opening match they defeated hometown rival No. 29 Georgetown 9-0. George Washington followed the win with another 9-0 shutout over No. 30 John Hopkins and concluded the weekend with a 6-3 defeat of No. 28 Hobart. The unbeaten Colonials will look to avenge an 8-1 loss to the Lions last season on Saturday evening.
