AMHERST, Mass. - On Saturday, Jan. 18, the Columbia men's squash team finished the two-day Pioneer Valley Invitational with a 2-1 record. The Lions defeated both Amherst and Wesleyan on Friday before falling to No. 6 Franklin and Marshall 6-3 this morning.

Despite the team loss, Ramit Tandon remained unbeaten on the season at the No.1 position with a 11-9, 11-9, 11-5 victory over Franklin & Marshall's John Steele. Rishi Tandon remained solid at the No. 2 position with a win as well, 11-6, 11-8, 11-6.

After being down two games to one, Jonathan Gill put together a tough comeback victory at the No. 7 position. Gill won two straight games to drop the Diplomat's Zander Nassikas, 7-11, 11-7, 8-11, 11-9, 11-9.
The Lions (4-3)  will cap the weekend with a return to SL Green StreetSquash on Sunday, Jan. 19 for a 2 p.m. match as they host No. 18 Williams
