NEW YORK – The SL Green StreetSquash Center will be filled with top competitions all weekend as the No. 9 Columbia women’s squash team hosts Ivy League foes Dartmouth and Harvard. The Lions will get the chance to crack into the national top eight with its first match against No. 8 Dartmouth on Saturday, Feb. 1 at 12 p.m. They will return on Sunday, Feb. 2 to face undefeated No. 1 Harvard at 12 p.m.

At 6-2, Columbia has put together a five-match win streak this month. In their last four wins the Lions have swept theiropponents, including No. 21 Wesleyan, No. 18 Franklin & Marshall, No. 17 Amherst and No. 14 Williams.  

Columbia has continued to roll after posting the first program Ivy League win over Brown earlier this month. Sophomore Catherine Jenkins has put together a solid run this season, leading the Lions with a 7-1 record at the No. 5 and 6 positions.

The Big Green snapped a four-match losing streak last weekend with a 7-2 win over No. 12 Bates. At 2-5, 0-3 in the Ivy League, No. 8 Dartmouth has faced one of the toughest schedules this season including five teams in the national top seven.

Top-ranked Harvard will enter SL Green StreetSquash on Sunday for its second in a pair of Ivy League matches this weekend. The Crimson are 7-0 overall and 3-0 in the conference and look to be one of the toughest matches for the Lions this season.
