NEW YORK – Columbia's 2011 baseball schedule is set and the Lions will christen the newly revitalized Robertson Field at Satow Stadium with 17 home games over nine days this spring.

The Lions will open the season at the Bright House Stetson Invitational in DeLand, Fla.  Columbia will face off against the host Hatters in the season opener on March 4.

Columbia's spring break trip will begin at South Alabama for a four-game set starting on March 11.  From there, the Lions travel down to the Sunshine State for six games.  First up is a two-game set with Florida Gulf Coast, followed by a single game at Rollins, then a three-game series at Central Florida.

The northern part of the slate begins in New York City, when Columbia will face Holy Cross in a four-game weekend series to open the Lions' home schedule on March 26-27.  Ivy League play begins a week later when Harvard will visit Robertson Field at Satow Stadium on April 1.

In Gehrig Division play, the defending champs will host Cornell in a four-game set on April 16-17, followed by a four-game series at Princeton on April 23-24.  The regular season concludes with a home-and-home series against Penn.  The Lions will host the Quakers on April 30, and finish off the four-game set in Philadelphia on May 1.
