Three Lions Named Baseball All-Ivy League

NEW YORK, N.Y. - Sophomore designated hitter Dan Neczypor was named first team All-Ivy League after hitting .290 with 18 hits and 11 RBI in his 15 Ivy League starts. Sophomore utility player Henry Perkins was named to the second team and junior shortstop Craig Rodwogin was chosen honorable mention.

Neczypor finished the season hitting .285, leading the team in RBI with 23 and home runs with three. In the team's first win of the season, over Maine, he hit a two-run home run in the seventh (and last) inning to hand the Lions the 6-5 win. Neczypor also had the game-winning hit in team's first victory over Ivy League rival Penn, hitting a 2-2 single to score the winning run, 9-8.

Perkins excelled both in the field and on the mound for Columbia this season, hitting .305 with 43 hits and 16 RBI at second base while seeing 25.2 innings on the hill and totaling 19 strikeouts.

Rodwogin is a third-time All-Ivy League honoree at shortstop and led the Lions this season with 49 hits and 12 doubles while batting .285 and starting every game of the season (the only team member to do so).
