COLUMBIA AGAINST CONFERENCE USA
The Lions are 4-24 against teams currently in Conference USA. Columbia dropped a pair of games at Southern Miss last season. The Lions last defeated a C-USA opponent in 2015 when they topped FIU, 4-3,  at the  NCAA Coral Gables Regional.

McGILL STARTS McHOT
Sophomore Liam McGill picked up right where he left off after his rookie campaign earned him Collegiate Baseball All-America and Second Team All-Ivy League honors. McGill was named Ivy League Player of the Week on Feb. 26 and is hitting a team-best .370 with a .485 on-base percentage, six RBI and six runs scored.

CITIZEN KANEMARU
Reigning Ivy League Player of the Year, Randell Kanemaru, highlights the long list of returning Columbia players. Kanemaru hit .395, the third highest of any returning student-athlete in the NCAA, to go with seven homers and 432 RBI. He is currently riding a 28-game on-base streak, dating back to the end of last season. Kanemaru has earned All-Ivy League status in each of his three seasons with the Lions, including Rookie of the Year accolades in 2015. The Santa Ana, California, native is a career .342 hitter and is just outside Columbia’s top-10 in all-time batting average, home runs (15) and RBI (95).
