The Lions finish up their spring break tour of Texas with a pair of games against New Mexico and two more against Houston, all on the Cougars' campus. Columbia dropped both of its midweeks, falling to Texas A&M Corpus Christi, 6-3, Tuesday before a 14-5 defeat at Rice Wednesday.

The Lobos have lost four-straight after an 11-7 midweek loss at Pepperdine.
Columbia and New Mexico have only met once previously with the Lions coming up with a 6-5 victory in 13 innings at the 2014 NCAA Regional in Fullerton, California.

The Lions are 2-9 all-time against teams currently in the Mountain West Conference. Columbia’s last win against an MWC opponent came against New Mexico, a 6-5 triumph in 13 innings, in the 2013 NCAA Fullerton Regional. The Lions opened up 2018 with a four-game series at UNLV where the current No. 25 Runnin' Rebels took all four games.
The Cougars open up an eight-game homestand against the Lobos and Lions. Houston fell at McNeese State, 7-6, Tuesday and took two of three against San Diego last weekend.
