CENTREVILLE, Va.—The Columbia men’s golf team will travel to the Chantilly National Golf & Country Club to compete in the two-day, 54-hole Patriot Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday.


Competition begins with 36 holes on Monday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Tuesday’s final 18 holes begin at 8 a.m. The Chantilly National Golf & Country Club is a 7,071-yard course with a par of 72.


Eighteen teams will compete in the event including Columbia, host George Mason, Appalachian State, Bethune Cookman, Delaware, Elon, Florida Gulf Coast, Georgetown, Lafayette, Longwood, McDaniel College, St. Bonaventure, St. John’s, Saint Joseph’s, Villanova, Wagner, Liberty (individuals) and George Washington (individuals).

Five players will represent Columbia including first-year Arjun Puri, sophomore Nick Brisebois, senior Curtis Chan, sophomore Cullen Chung and first-year Dan Terrell.


The event is the second of four fall tournaments that the Lions will compete in. After the Patriot Intercollegiate, Columbia will travel to Skokie, Ill. to play in the Windon Memorial Classic (Oct. 8-9). The Lions conclude their fall season at the Camden Collegiate in Camden, S.C. Oct. 21-22.
