PHILADELPHIA, Pa.—The Columbia women’s tennis team will compete in the ITA Northeast Regional Championships starting Wednesday at the Hamlin/Hecht Tennis Centers on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. The event will run from October 18-23.


Competing in singles for Columbia are first-year Christie Wan, senior Adi Milstein, first-year Jennifer Kerr and sophomore Ali Pollack. The Lions are already in the Main Draw. Competing in doubles are two Lions teams consisting of Jennifer Kerr and Ali Pollack and Christie Wan and Adi Milstein.


Schools from all over the Northeastern United States are represented.

Wednesday: Qualifying singles. 2 rounds. 10AM start

Thursday: 2 doubles 1 singles (round of 128, so all seeds get byes) 9am start (if outdoors) 32 singles matches, 48 doubles matches. DOUBLES FIRST

Friday: 2 singles 9AM start  (48 matches) round of 64 and round of 32

Saturday: 2 doubles 1 singles 10AM Start round of 16 and quarterfinal (doubles) round of 16 singles. Singles first

Sunday: 1 doubles 2 singles 10AM Start quarterfinals and semi singles, semi doubles singles first

Monday: 1 doubles 1 singles 10AM Start final, final
