NEW YORK—The Office of Enrichment Services hosted its second annual Young Alumni Networking Night on Monday, February 13 in the Dodge Fitness Center Blue Gym. Student-athletes from all class years took advantage of the opportunity, while alumni represented a variety of industries including tech, marketing, finance, law, sports and business attended the event.
Over the course of the evening, current student-athletes had the opportunity to speak with Columbia Athletics alumni in the room about their professional experiences.
“It’s a great way for our young alumni to share their expertise, industry knowledge and career journeys with our current student-athletes who are eager to learn and connect,” said Director for Enrichment Services Annie Butts.
Columbia Athletics Director Peter Pilling commented on the uniqueness of Columbia’s proximity to an unparalleled number of alumni.
“The Young Alumni Networking Night serves as a powerful demonstration that the Columbia community is incredibly special and supportive,” said Pilling. “This event is a great example of the connection opportunities that our student-athletes have living and learning in New York City.”
With over 100,000 Columbia University alumni living in the Greater New York City area, the Young Alumni Networking Night attracted many alumni looking to stay connected with the Columbia Athletics community.
