Columbia Athletics is excited to offer fun-filled fan promotions during the Ivy League home men's and women's basketball season! Call the ticket office at 888-LIONS-11 for more information about any of the promotions listed.

Things kick off with the annual Faculty & Staff Festival prior to the men’s and women’s basketball doubleheader vs. Cornell on Saturday, January 20. The men’s basketball team will participate in Coaches vs. Cancer: Suits and Sneakers Awareness Week. As a part of the Coaches vs. Cancer initiative, the team will also participate in the 3-Point Challenge for the month of February. Click to learn more and to donate to this important cause!

Additionally, one student will be randomly selected during halftime of the women's basketball game on January 20 to win an airline ticket to anywhere in the continental United States. The student selected must be in attendance to win and will have five minutes to claim his/her prize.  If the student selected is not in attendance, the prize will carry over to the next home (women’s/men/either) game.

Exciting promotions continue when the men’s basketball team hosts Harvard on Friday, February 2 and Dartmouth on Saturday, February 3. The series features the annual men’s basketball alumni celebration weekend, including the recognition of the 50th anniversary of the 1968 Ivy League Championship team at halftime of the game against Dartmouth. The Columbia cheerleading team will also be hosting a clinic prior to the game against the Big Green.

The women’s basketball team returns to Levien Gymnasium for Alumnae Weekend, February 9 against Yale and February 10 vs. Brown. The Lions have partnered with the American Heart Association to host a “Go Red for Women" Basketball Game on Feb. 9. During this time, fans are highly encouraged to GO RED and enjoy the many opportunities to learn more about the organization as well as visit their table to win all types of prizes! Also during the game, there will be not one, but two t-shirt tosses, thanks to the American Heart Association.

February 10 will be Girl Scout Night and the Columbia dance team will host a pregame clinic. All Girl Scouts who pre-register by calling 888-LIONS-11 will be able to present their colors on the court during the National Anthem. Register for the dance team clinic by clicking here.

February 16 and 17 features another series of men’s and women’s twinbills. On February 16, the women tip off against Penn at 4 p.m., followed by the men at 7 p.m. Greek Night for all fraternities and sororities on campus will take place for the men’s game. On February 17, the women host Princeton at 4 p.m. in its annual Play4Kay game where the first 200 fans in attendance will receive a free pink t-shirt. Fans can join the fight against breast cancer by participating in the free-throw challenge for the month of February.

The final Ivy League home weekend series for the men’s basketball team is on February 23-24 when it hosts Brown and Yale, respectively. Friday night will be highlighted by Boy Scout and CYO Night. All Boy Scouts who pre-register their group can present their colors on the court during the National Anthem, while all CYO teams who pre-register their team can meet men’s basketball team after the game. The first 200 students at the game on February 24 against the Bulldogs will receive a free t-shirt as we honor this year’s senior class.

The women’s basketball team closes out the regular season with a series against Dartmouth and Harvard, March 2-3. The women’s game against the Big Green features CYO Night where all teams that pre-register can meet the women’s basketball team after the game.
