NEW YORK – The Columbia fencing team will look to keep rolling as they make the short trip to Greenwich Village to take on NYU on Tuesday night. The Lions are coming off a 6-0 mark at the Columbia Invitational on Friday.

The Columbia men posted a 3-0 mark, highlighted by a thrilling 14-13 victory over NJIT. Andrew Doddo posted a perfect 6-0 record to lead the way individually. The women came up with convincing wins against the same three opponents, capped by perfect 9-0 mark by Ilana Solomon.

The Violets are making their first collegiate outing since the Temple Collegiate Open on October 30. Grant Williams won the men’s sabre, while Jacqueline Tubbs placed seventh in women’s sabre for NYU’s top individual finishes.
