Born Sidarth Kumbla on Sept. 27, 1998 in San Jose, Calif… Son of Smitha Bolar and Kishan Kumbla… Younger brother Samarth also fences…Recruited by Princeton, Penn, Harvard, Notre Dame, Penn State, Brown and UCSD but chose Columbia because he wanted to pursue a good education and join “the best college fencing team and win an NCAA title”… Volunteered for over 100 hours at Sacred Heart in San Jose… Hopes to work on Wall Street… Plays the violin… Favorite singer is Kanye West and favorite athlete is Roger Federer… Enjoys playing soccer… best friend Geoffrey Tourette fences at Harvard.
