NEW YORK - Another trio of meets await the Columbia track & field teams this weekend, as the Lions will send athletes to Florida, Stanford, and William & Mary.
The Pepsi Florida Relays and the Stanford Invitational will see Columbia athletes participate on Friday, while the Colonial Relays at William & Mary have Lions competing on both Friday & Saturday.
In Gainesville, Florida, the women's 400m field features Akua Obeng-Akrofi, Iman Sule and Sydney Petersen. Brittney Wade and Sarah Hardie also are entered in the 800m, while the women also plan on entering a 4x400m relay team. The men will see Josiah Langstaff and Alek Sauer run in the 800m, while Robert Napolitano and Sam Ritz are entered in the 800m. Portions of Friday and Saturday will be live streamed via SEC Network + / Watch ESPN. Friday’s live window is 12:10-4:10 p.m. ET
A total of four athletes will attend the festivities in Palo Alto, California, with Henna Rustami and Natalie Tanner taking part in the women's 5,000m, while the men have Jack Boyle entered in the 10,000m, and Ryan Thomas entered in the 5,000m. The meet can be seen live on FloTrack.
Most of the Lions will trek down to Williamsburg, Virginia, with the men and women combining to have 41 entries in the Colonial Relays.
