NEW YORK - The Columbia track & field teams travel to both the Colonial Relays at William & Mary and the Sam Howell Invitational at Princeton this weekend.
Columbia is coming off a weekend when four top-10 program performances were achieved, which took place in between the Stanford Invitational, the Florida Relays, and the Raleigh Relays.
Senior Sarah Hardie clocked a 4:24.29 in her first 1,500m run of the spring at Stanford, before Abigail McLaughlin set a 35-second PR in the 10,000m run at 33:53.19. For the men’s team, Brian Zabilski set a PR of 14:09.11 in the 5,000m run to finish seventh in his heat, while Sam Ritz was fifth in his heat of the 1,500m at 3:48.28.
Also impressing last weekend was Akua Obeng-Akrofi, who ran the second fastest outdoor 400m of her career at 52.75, while Daniel Igbokwe gave the men a sixth place finish in the triple jump with a leap of 15.45m.
