NEW YORK - Columbia senior Sarah Hardie is slated to compete in the NCAA Indoor Championships 1 Mile run at 6:50 p.m. EST on Friday in College Station, Texas.
The Eastport, New York, native is in the first of two heats, with the top three times in each heat plus the next fastest two times qualifying for Saturday's final. Hardie qualified with a season best time of 4:40.69 (4:37.94 conversion) during the UCS Invitational. Friday and Saturday's portions of the meet can be seen live on WatchESPN/ESPN3, with a Sunday re-air taking place at 7:00 p.m. on ESPNU.
In the winter of 2018, Hardie won her seventh and eighth Ivy League titles during the 2018 Ivy League Heptagonal Championships. At Dartmouth, she won her fourth consecutive conference crown in the 1,000m run, setting a meet record at 2:44.85, before leading the distance medley relay team to a first place performance with an impressive anchor leg.
Going into the weekend, Hardie owns five school records and is a 10-time All-Ivy League performer.
