Cambridge, Mass. — It's time for nationals! No. 6 women's squash heads to Harvard University this weekend for the 2018 Howe Cup (A Division). The Howe Cup consists of the top 8 teams in the nation. The Lions will be playing in the A draw for the fourth consecutive year.

SCOUTING THE COMPETITION

The Lions fell to Trinity in January, 9-0, but there were some really close matches in the defeat. Tanvi Khanna dropped to Raneem Sharaf in five sets. She was able to battle her way back from two sets down to force the decisive fifth. Maddie O'Connor pushed her number 2 match up, Juia Le Coq to four sets. Columbia was also playing without No. 3 Nicole Kendall in this match, so the lineup will look a little bit different on Friday. This will be the fifth meeting between these two schools. Columbia has never beaten Trinity.

UP NEXT

Regardless of the outcome of this match, the Lions will play two more matches at the Howe Cup. The Lions will either advance to the semi-finals or the consolation bracket, and will play the winner or loser of No. 2 Princeton and No. 7 Penn on Saturday.
