2012: Started 38 of 41 games at shortstop ... slick fielder was the cornerstone of the Columbia infield in first full year as a starter ... batted .286 in Ivy League play ... went 1-for-3 on opening day at The Citadel ... singled and scored a run in opening game of the San Diego series ... hit safely in each game during the four-game set in San Diego with two RBI ... went 1-for-2 with a walk and an RBI in opening game win at Holy Cross ... had a base hit and a run scored in game two of doubleheader sweep of Yale ... singled, doubled and scored a run in 14-6 win over Brown ... had two hits in three at-bats in opener at Harvard ... went 4-for-5 with two runs scored and an RBI in doubleheader at Dartmouth, including 3-for-3 game two ... doubled and drove in a pair of runs in 9-6 win at St. John's ... singled and knocked in two runs in opening win at Penn ... finished a home run shy of the cycle in game two at Penn, going 3-for-5 with two runs scored and two RBI ... finished the season by reaching base three times in five trips and also scored two runs in 11-1 win over Penn.

2011: Played in 14 games ... started nine times at shortstop ... committed one error in 45 chances ... went 2-for-5 with a walk in collegiate debut at South Alabama ... drove in go-ahead run and collected two base hits in 8-7 win at Rollins ... had a run-scoring base hit in final game at Central Florida ... went 1-for-3 with a run scored and an RBI in 6-0 win over Cornell ... ripped a double in second game at Fordham.

At Wolfson: Four-year letterwinner in baseball ... also played golf for two years ... captained baseball squad as a junior and senior ... all-conference as a sophomore ... batted .450 that season.

Personal: Financial economics major ... was high school's co-valedictorian ... son of Kim and Ray Silbar ... Aaron Miles Silbar, born in Jacksonville, Fla.
