Fall 2012: Reached the semifinals of singles 'A' flight and doubles 'B' flight at the BJK NTC Men's Collegiate Invitational (9/21-23/12) ... Selected to compete in the singles draw of the ITA All-American Championships (10/1/12) ... Reached the singles finals of the ITA Northeast Regional Championships (10/18-23/12) ... Competed at the ITA/USTA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships, winning one singles match in the consolation draw (11/9/12).
Spring 2012: Selected as the Ivy League Rookie of the Year and was a first team All-Ivy League selection ... Finished the season with a 21-1 overall mark, 7-0 in the Ivy League (9-1 at No. 1, 12-0 at No. 2) ... Knocked off opponents from Fordham (1/28/12), Cleveland State (2/3/12) and Marist (2/11/12) in a trio of 7-0 wins for Columbia ... Picked up three wins, including two in three sets at the ECAC Team Tournament (2/17-19/12) ... Dominated Admire Mushonga from SSC, 6-0, 6-1 (3/11/12) ... Fall 2011: Had a strong fall season … Won the B singles draw at the USTA National Tennis Center Invitational as the No.3 seed without dropping a set … Beat players from Fairleigh Dickinson, Penn and Brown, before beating teammate Ashok Narayana in the finals … Had a win in the doubles consolation draw of the USTA/ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships with partner Nathaniel Gery, beating a duo from San Diego, 8-6 to advance to the semifinals … Advanced to semifinals of the A singles draw at Princeton/Farnsworth Invitational, beating No.1 seed Gustav Kallen of St. Johns, 7-5, 6-3, and Zach McCourt of Princeton … Also advanced to semifinals of A doubles bracket with partner Bert Vancura, beating the No.1 seed from Penn State, as well as a team from Penn … Advanced to the semifinals of the B doubles draw with Max Schnur at the USTA NTC Invite … Competed in the A singles bracket at the Columbia Classic.
At Williamsville East: Co-captain of tennis team his sophomore, junior and senior year … Ranked No. 1 in the USTA Eastern Boys-18s his senior year, and as high as No. 25 nationally … Ranked No.11 as a senior recruit by tennisrecruiting.net for the class of 2011 … won Eastern sectionals for 12s, 16s and 18s … Won Labor Day Championship 14s (2007) and 18s (2010) … Won National Open 16s (2008) … Was runner up with a silver ball in Boys-14 Winter Nationals (2007) … Awarded USTA Eastern Lt.
