Junior forward Will Stamatis had a tremendous season for
the Columbia men's soccer team this year. Stamatis was just named a third team
2011 NCAA All-Northeast Regional Team selection. The first team All-Ivy League
honoree led the Lions with six goals for the season. An impressive five of the
six goals were game winners and three of the goals were scored in overtime.

appropriately for his contributions to our team during the 2011 season. It is a
deserving accolade that also indicates the play of his teammates and
specifically Henning Sauerbier, that gave Will the opportunities that he
capitalized on, which is scoring goals! When things come together as a team
during a season it is vital that someone score goals. Will scored some big
