NEW
YORK - Registration for this summer's 2012 Goal Line Field Hockey Camps is now
open. Columbia head field hockey coach Marybeth Freeman and assistant coaches
Katie Grant and Samantha Carr will once again be providing first-class field
hockey instruction and fun for campers ranging from ages 10 to 18.
"We are excited to open our 2012 Goal Line Field Hockey camp
registration after a successful first year in 2011," said Freeman, who will
begin her third season leading the Columbia field hockey program next fall. "Because
of the interest in last year's camp, we are providing more opportunity for our
talented camp staff to work with athletes to strengthen their hockey technique
and tactics. Along with our camps held here at Columbia, we are also having 'Traveling
Camps' where our Goal Line staff will go to a high school or site of a club
program and work with their athletes on their home field. We're looking forward
to getting the camp season underway and hope to see a great turn out in 2012!"
Goal Line Field Hockey Camps features Day Camps ($200, July 21-22,
Aug. 4-5) and a Goalkeeping Specific Camp ($250, July 23-24) that are available
to both boys and girls of various experience levels between the ages of 10 and
18. The Overnight Camp ($465, Aug. 6-8) is for girls only between the ages of
13-18. All of the aforementioned
camps will be held at Columbia University and all campers will received a Goal
Line bag, t-shirt and ball.
Detailed information and links to forms for each of the camps are available at
